In its commitment to continue providing high-quality vehicles to customers throughout Indonesia, PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) once again held its annual event, the Bodymaker Awarding 2025, at GIIAS 2025. This event serves as a token of appreciation for bodywork partners who have successfully completed Hino’s standardisation programme, a strategic initiative launched in 2018 to ensure vehicle body quality meets Hino standards across design, installation, inspection, and after-sales service. With the theme ‘Together Towards Better Vehicle Quality,’ the event was attended by leading bodywork industry players in Indonesia who have been key partners in producing Hino vehicles that are not only reliable in performance but also excel in vehicle body comfort and safety.
‘We believe that the quality of Hino vehicles is not only determined by the engine and chassis but also by the final outcome of the vehicle body process. Therefore, we highly value the role of bodywork in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our vehicles in the eyes of consumers,’ said Susilo Darmawan, Sales Director of HMSI.
Prioritising Standardisation for Customer Satisfaction
The Bodymaker Standardisation programme is not only a form of evaluation, but also a means of developing the capacity of bodybuilders. The assessment process is based on a number of key performance indicators (KPIs), namely design, compliance with the body mounting manual, pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process, administrative completeness, and after-sales service readiness.
After undergoing a rigorous and structured assessment process, Hino presented awards to bodybuilders who met all of the criteria. The awards consisted of three categories, namely Hino 500 Standardisation, Hino Bus Standardisation, and Hino 500 & Bus Renewal Standardisation.
A total of 20 top body manufacturers received awards this year, including: CV Delima Mandiri, CV Nugraha Mitra Sejati, CV Surya Indah Pratama, CV Tri Sakti, PT Adiputro Wirasejati, PT Adhikarya Perkasa, PT Alfaraya Mitraniaga, PT Gunung Mas Bersinar, PT Laksana Bus Manufactur, PT Mega Trukindo Utama, PT Mekar Armada Jaya, PT Metalindo Teknik Utama, PT Mitra Juang Majubersama, PT Nugraha Estetika Permai, PT Remaja Bengkel, PT Remaja Prima Engineering, PT Sukses Tunggal Mandiri, PT Sumber Karya Abadi Indonesia, PT Tentrem Sejahtera, and PT Usaha Teknik Indonesia.
The 20 body manufacturers that received the award not only received official certificates but also gained benefits such as official recommendations to Hino's dealer network across Indonesia, access to further training, and the use of digital systems like the Portal and PDI App from Hino.
This event marks an important milestone in Hino's collaboration with national bodywork manufacturers. Going forward, Hino plans to develop this partnership in a more strategic direction, such as joint product development and certified technical training designed to address the challenges of customer business needs.
“The Bodymaker Awarding 2025 is not just about recognition, but also about maintaining customer trust and strengthening the supply chain for high-quality commercial vehicles in Indonesia. For Hino, Total Support is a promise and commitment that is fulfilled from the engine, body, to after-sales service,” concluded Susilo.
